INVESTIGATING EFL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION IN LEARNING

چکیده

It is believed that, motivation can affect all aspects of life. As it self-evident in the literature, has an enormous impact on teaching and learning EFL. The aim this paper to find out whether students are motivated learn EFL or not, what type do they have; instrumental integrative motivation? This study been conducted context Kurdish at University Halabja, English Language Department. problem trying tackle important role that plays language, there a lack from students, then ways improve them. To conduct study, quantitative approach was followed, Likert-Scale questionnaire designed, distributed among 50 male female students. results indicated learners College Basic Education Department Halabja are, great extent, learning. Moreover, also presented majority have rather than motivation. Based results, some recommendations for lecturers being order build upon already best outcome.
